COVID-19: More Than a Virus

A virus called COVID-19 swept across the world and disrupted our lives. However, if you only see a virus, you may be missing what’s really happening. This is not just a pandemic—it’s a divine disruption.

“Everything visible and physical is preceded by that which is invisible and spiritual.” — Raphael Rabbi

A Warning in Scripture

2 Chronicles 15:5-6 states:

“In those times there was no shalom (peace) for anyone coming or going, for there were many conflicts among all the inhabitants of the lands. Nation was crushed by nation and city by city, for God troubled them with every kind of distress.”

Many nations are still experiencing waves of this virus. Although vaccines have offered hope by boosting our immune systems, they do not address the soul. Indeed, if only there were a vaccine for spiritual illness.

Our God, Adonai ELOHIM, is using this moment to humble nations—because He loves us.

Climate Change or Divine Wake-Up Call?

Brothers and sisters, I urge you to pray for God’s grace and mercy. Specifically, pray against food scarcity and famine, which the world calls climate change.

Throughout history, God has humbled proud nations by allowing attacks on their wealth and economies.

Could COVID-19 be a dress rehearsal for what’s to come?

“The seasons ahead will be fearful and difficult, but take heart—the battle is already won through Christ Jesus.” — Raphael Rabbi

God Is Still in Control

Everything happening is under God’s authority. As the book of Job reveals, the enemy cannot act without permission.

Even the crucifixion of Christ was a divine setup for the salvation of the world.

“When God becomes your problem, only God can be your solution.” — Raphael Rabbi

He wants us to stop doing things our own way and return to Him.

2 Chronicles 7:14 reminds us:

“When My people, over whom My name is called, humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Why God Allows Trouble

Have you ever asked why God allows afflictions and troubles? In 2 Chronicles 15:3, Israel had three major spiritual issues:

  • They lost sight of the true God.
  • They were without teaching priests.
  • They abandoned the law.

Similarly, many believers today have turned to modern-day idols. Churches have closed. People have stopped reading their Bibles and following God’s truth.

Instead, they follow ‘deceptive laws’ that contradict His Word, often in the name of diversity, equality and love.

For these reasons, God allowed troubles—to lead His people back to Him. This was not punishment, but an act of love.

From Crisis to Connection

Whether you’re facing job loss, illness, or loneliness, God wants your attention. Sometimes, He allows chaos to escalate, not to punish you, but to connect deeply with you.

He wants to:

  • Set your agenda.
  • Call the shots.
  • Guide your steps.

Therefore, submit to His will. Humble yourself. Seek His face. The chaos you’re experiencing may be the very thing that leads you back to purpose.

Return to Fellowship

Brothers and sisters, make connecting with God your top priority.

1 John 1:3 says:

“What we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed, our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Yahusha (Christ Jesus).”

Indeed, God has given you a direct path through Jesus. He offers eternal life and divine connection with the Father.

Final Encouragement and Prayer

I urge you—connect with God today. Moreover, He will guide you through this difficult season. Avoid sexual immorality and sin. Reflect deeply, and you will emerge from this divine disruption stronger and ready for God’s kingdom.

Prayer

Our LORD YHWH, bring the leaders of the world closer to Your Son, Christ Jesus (Yahusha), so they can lead us according to Your principles. Have mercy on us all.

Amen
