The Devil’s Time Is Short

Modern Idolatry and Satan’s Deception

We are born into various religions with different doctrines. However, some contradict God’s laws, while others lead people to reject Him entirely. Modern-day idol worship remains a serious issue.

The enemy, Satan, convinces many that he does not exist. Yet, he remains active, surrounding the children of God with demons day and night. Moreover, his deceptive tactics include idolizing and worshiping humans, saints, and even objects like stones, bells, and monuments.

Examples include the Tsar Bell in Moscow, the Western Wall in Jerusalem, and the Black Stone in the Kaaba of Mecca. Therefore, these practices draw people away from God’s truth.

Hidden Forms of Idolatry Today

Idol worship is not limited to religion. In fact, it extends to monarchies, celebrities, technology, wealth, and even our own children.

Sports teams fill stadiums every Sabbath while churches remain empty. Additionally, we idolize celebrities, musicians, and athletes. Documentaries celebrate the dead more than they share the truth of Christ. Nations pour wealth into restoring artifacts, while the poor suffer.

God Remains on His Throne

In Isaiah 6, the prophet saw YHWH seated on His throne after King Uzziah’s death. This vision showed that earthly leaders may pass, but God’s reign is eternal.

Like Isaiah, we can find strength in the sanctuary of God. No matter what happens, no pandemic, no leader, and no global crisis can remove Him from His throne. As a result, understanding this gives us confidence and hope.

Generational Sin and National Disobedience

Many nations operate under ancestral curses because of disobedience. God warned in Exodus 20:1–5 against creating or bowing to idols. When nations ignore these commands, they open themselves to spiritual judgment.

History shows leaders, like Henry VIII, who shifted nations away from God’s order. Instead of honouring Him, nations placed their trust in monarchs, politicians, and systems. This rebellion still impacts the world today.

Satan’s Influence in Modern Culture

Satan uses monuments, statues, and symbols to spread deception. The Statue of Liberty, Christ the Redeemer, and royal tombs often become centres of idolatry. Furthermore, social media spreads images of these idols, fuelling pride and rebellion.

Nations risk judgment unless leaders and people turn back to God’s laws. Sports, entertainment, and even public clapping during the pandemic sometimes take the place of true worship.

A Call to Repentance

God calls His people to humility, obedience, and love. Christianity is about relationship with God, not religious division. His Word contains everything we need to endure hardship and fear.

Satan wants mankind to curse God in times of trouble, especially during global crises like COVID-19. However, the enemy has failed. We will praise Yahusha (Jesus Christ) even more.

Prayer

Lord God Almighty, have mercy on the nations. You choose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. Grant us humility in Yahusha (Jesus Christ). Amen.
