Walking With Your Inner Man (Holy Spirit)

DAY 1 — Repentance, Confession, and Sanctification

Turning to God for Forgiveness (Acts 3:19-20)

Acts 3:19-20 says: “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that He will forgive your sins. If you do, times of spiritual strength will come from the Lord, and He will send Jesus, who is the Messiah He has already chosen for you.”

We may have the Holy Spirit, but sin leaves many spiritually crippled. Just like the lame beggar at the Beautiful Gate, we need God’s power to walk forward.

Confessing and Renouncing Sin

During Day 1 of fasting and prayer, take time to confess your sins to YHWH one by one. Ask sincerely for His forgiveness. As you do, God will show mercy and give you spiritual strength through the Holy Spirit. His work of sanctification (2 Thessalonians 2:13) transforms us into the image of Christ.

Letting Go of Idols and Distractions

Many prioritize other things over God—wealth, relationships, entertainment, technology, or even personal pride. These distractions lead to confusion, disappointment, and spiritual stagnation. Recognize and repent from anything that takes God’s place in your life.

Prayer of Repentance (Psalm 51:9-12)

Almighty God, YHWH, Creator of heaven and earth, close Your eyes to my sins and wipe away all my evil. I make a covenant to repent and turn away from them all. Create a pure heart in me, O God, and renew a loyal spirit within me. Do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and make me willing to obey You. Amen.

DAY 2 — Spiritual Strength, Direction, and Empowerment

Strengthening the Inner Man (Ephesians 3:16)

The Holy Spirit strengthens our inner being so we can serve God effectively. A strong inner life makes us more fruitful in His Kingdom.

Allowing the Holy Spirit to Lead (Romans 8:14)

We must allow the Spirit to lead rather than letting our ambitions drive us. Walking with the Holy Spirit brings clarity and purpose.

Empowerment for Kingdom Service (Acts 1:8)

The Holy Spirit empowers us to fulfill God’s calling. This power is for His mission, not for self-promotion. Ask for empowerment to serve faithfully.

Revelation Through the Spirit (Acts 20:23)

The Holy Spirit reveals God’s plans through visions, dreams, or desires aligned with His will. Pray for divine guidance and insight as you fast.

Prayer for Strength and Guidance

Father, YHWH, fill me with the strength of Your Spirit. Lead me, empower me, and reveal Your plans for my life. Amen.

DAY 3 — Humility, Worship, Fellowship, and Comfort

Walking Humbly With the Spirit (John 16:13)

Approach this day of fasting with humility. Invite the Holy Spirit to guide your study of the Word and your prayers. He will bring understanding and quicken the Word in your heart.

Worshiping in Spirit and Truth (Philippians 3:3)

The Spirit helps us worship Jesus wholeheartedly. He draws our hearts to adore Christ and keeps our focus on Him.

Fellowship With the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14)

The Holy Spirit desires a close relationship with us. Like the disciples walked with Jesus, we can walk daily with the Spirit.

Comfort in Life’s Challenges (Acts 9:31)

Life will bring trials. We cannot control every challenge, but the Spirit helps us respond with peace. Pour out your heart to Him, and receive His comfort.

Prayer of Fellowship and Comfort

Holy Spirit, I invite You to walk closely with me. Teach me, comfort me, and guide me into deeper worship and fellowship. Amen.
